It was a Blissful Morning

Woke at six-thirty, a hour before my alarm, and was able to master the urge to roll over in favor of getting my laundry done with time to spare. Not even updating the banners on a friends website that declares “We Remember” woke me from my calendrical haze. There were over two and half hours of bliss before the Today Show brought the horror that is “We Remember” to my attention. Children being pimped on national TV for their ability to parrot sound bytes and their limited understanding of the events and the characters involved. The media’s inability to ask questions on live national television that they don’t already know the answers to. The politicization of a national tragedy. As if we could ever forget, with all the security theatre and rampant xenophobia. This is not a holy crusade, not that those are justifiable either, but nonetheless this is over-population, resource scarcity, and racism. End the hate people!

They were so… quiet about it
And then the next thing you know…
I’m Amazed – The Pixies (2002)

Basically we agreed to disagree… And that’s ok.

For a while I’ve been feeling like my contribution, and therefore what I get out of working on “The Project” has been waning, so although abrupt, it’s probably for the best.

Yesterday I was awe struck and moved when I read about another sub-orbital flight for Burt and co. Yesterday’s gaiety was somewhat dampend today when I learned that this modern marvel is brought to us by a company that also deals with those that sell secrecy and fear.
